Winter 2025 Newsletter – See What’s On
As the festive season draws near, Child’s Play Nursery is buzzing with activity. Our Winter 2025 Newsletter outlines everything families need to know for a joyful and safe season at the nursery.
We’ve got a wonderful line-up of festive fun planned throughout December, including Christmas Jumper Day, carolling (with a special North Pole visitor), our annual Christmas Dinner, and a festive Party Day. Please note the nursery will close early at 4 pm on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and will reopen on 29th December and again on 2nd January.
This term, our children will explore seasonal topics like winter weather and New Year traditions, all while enjoying the fresh air in our lovely garden space. We’re also thrilled to welcome three new team members – Sam, Bethan, and Sherene – to the Child’s Play family. View our Team page for more about these lovely new faces!
We’re proudly supporting two fantastic community initiatives this year: Dinky Dragons, helping babies in medical care, and Toys for Families, ensuring children across Newport and Gwent receive gifts this Christmas. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated.
A few reminders:
-
Please ensure your child comes with warm, labelled outdoor clothing and a bag of spare clothes.
-
Let us know if your child is going to be off – it helps us keep everyone safe.
-
A £7 charge applies for every 10 minutes of late collection.
Parents are also encouraged to familiarise themselves with their child’s key person, an important figure in their care and development journey at the nursery.
The toddler room has had a refresh, and we’ve had great feedback already from the little ones!
We also continue to reward parent referrals with high street vouchers.
From all of us here, we wish you a warm and wonderful festive season and a happy, healthy start to 2026.
