Funded Places
Under the Childcare Offer for Wales, you could claim up to 30 hours of early education and childcare in Wales per week, for up to 48 weeks of the year.
To be eligible for the Childcare Offer for Wales you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Your child is aged 3 or 4 years who is able to access part-time education
- All parents, or cohabiting couples, in the household, earn the equivalent of at least 16 hours at national living wage or national minimum wage or above; or
- One parent is employed and one parent has substantial caring responsibilities based on specific benefits received for caring; or
- Both parents are employed but one or both parents are temporarily away from the workplace on parental, maternity, paternity or adoption leave; or
- Both parents are employed but one or both parents are temporarily away from the workplace on statutory sick pay; or
- One parent is employed and one parent is disabled or incapacitated based on receipt of specific benefits;
We are also delighted to share that Childsplay Nursery is now Flying Start registered, which means we can now offer funded childcare places for eligible two-year-olds. This helps families access high-quality early years education and care from an earlier age, giving children the best possible start in a supportive, nurturing environment.
