Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter 2023
Just a quick hello and to let you know what’s going on here at Childsplay.
Staffing: We would like to welcome a few new members of staff who have joined our team through September. Katie our new Pre-school room Leader, Megan Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, Alyshia & Ella who will be starting their Level 3 Qualifications this month. Nayomi, Esther and Randi are currently all studying at Uni so will be joining the team working part time alongside their studies. Not forgetting Lauren who is still covering in the kitchen while Sam is on maternity.
Pre- School: The Pre-School room has just had a wonderful re-vamp with all new furniture toys and roll play. The children were all very excited to come in on Monday to the new changes. Photos of the room will be posted up on to our Facebook page as well as the website for everyone to see.
Outdoors: The children have access to the outdoors no matter the weather. If we can ask you to please provide children with appropriate clothing: wellies and waterproofs, clearly labelled, for wet days. Without the appropriate clothing and essentials, they will not be able to take part in our fun activities outside.
‘There is no such thing as wrong weather, just inappropriate clothing’.
Nursery windows: Our Nursery windows will be once again changed to a winters Theme on 8th & 9th November when we will then start to get excited about the seasons festivities beginning 😊

Please can all of your child’s belongings be clearly labelled. It makes it easier for us to return uncollected items, to their rightful owners.
The clocks will soon be going back, the nights will be drawing in and the weather wet and cold.
We will be trialling re-opening up the reception area to parents when collecting your children. The door will remain locked so please knock and we will let you. We ask that parents DO NOT let other parents in while waiting for security reasons, we will allow a few parents in at a time.
Please can we ask that your time is kept to a minimum, to enable us to let other parents in.
For safety reasons, can we also please also ask that siblings are not permitted to touch any interest boards or displays, climb on the window ledges, or go into the rooms. Please remain behind the gate and we will bring the children to you.
